Servco Scaffolding recently completed a suspended scaffolding system beneath a bridge crossing the Red River in St. Agathe, Manitoba. The work was completed timely, cost-effectively, and most importantly, without incident.
The scaffolding structure spans approximately 20 feet wide and 400 feet long and was used primarily to catch and control debris and expedite clean up during construction. The south lane of the bridge is being demolished to allow the structural girders to be replaced.
Our team incorporated extra framing, handrails, and debris netting and stair tower access points were installed at both ends of the scaffold, with ladder access to the roadway as required, allowing for safe and efficient movement of crews and materials.
The next phase of the bridge reconstruction will see similar scaffolding solutions implemented for the north lane in the winter of 2025-2026.
